What is it like to take a class from Dr. Davis?

Dr. Davis uses a style of teaching called Active Learning.  In Active Learning, students are involved in the learning process by the use of interactive teaching skills (e.g., discussions, role plays, group projects, and presentations).  The benefits of Active Learning include better and longer retention of course content and more interesting class sessions.  However, Active Learning does require attendance and preparation by the students.  If you prefer a typical "lecture environment," Dr. Davis is probably not the professor for you.  However, if you prefer being engaged in the learning process and attending courses that are more interesting than the typical "lecture," then take Dr. Davis.
